As a highly experienced aviation training provider, AC&T offer the following Training Courses or can customise training programs to meet the exact needs and objectives of our clients.


ACT01 - QMS Lead Auditor

This RABQSA International certified training course introduces participants to Safety Management Systems, process management systems, practical auditing, ‘human factors’, as they apply to the auditing environment, organisational latent conditions and accident review case studies. Successful participants meet the qualification criteria for conducting code-share audits, regulatory body Safety and Quality Assurance audits and third party Quality Management System Audits. This course is certified as meeting the criteria. This qualification has international recognition and also meets the prerequisite requirements for IOSA auditor training.

ACT02 - Aviation Internal Auditor

Internal audit programs are a mandatory requirement of aviation safety and quality management systems, including some aviation regulatory frameworks. This training course educates participants on all aspects of internal auditing including, scheduling, planning, delivery, reporting and follow up. Successful participants obtain a qualification that will support their internal audit activities and thereby satisfy relevant regulatory, code-share, ISO9001 and IOSA requirements.

ACT03 - Aviation Auditor Refresher

This training course updates experienced auditors with the latest audit techniques and tools, including management of audit findings, root cause analysis and effective corrective action, which will improve the effectiveness of their organisation’s internal auditing process.

ACT04 - IOSA Internal Auditor

Participants are introduced to the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) programme and the associated individual operational areas subject to audit. The IOSA Standards Manual is examined in conjunction with the guidance material, which illustrates the need for internal audit functions. On completion, participants will understand the IOSA Standards and Recommended Practice (ISARP) requirements for specific procedures, processes and systems and will be able to ensure that these are documented and implemented in accordance with IOSA requirements.

ACT05 - Aerodrome Certification

This training course prepares airport operators to meet ICAO requirements for certification and implementation of Safety Management Systems. Participants will be able to demonstrate familiarity with the ICAO requirements and to implement adequate techniques, tools and methodology in order to become compliant. Regulatory participants will be able to adequately identify and audit the ICAO aerodrome requirements.

ACT06 - Quality Management Systems
- Under Development

This training course provides participants with a solid background in Quality System concepts and will enable the understanding and management of such a system in an aviation context. This course will assist participants to document, coordinate and implement a Quality Management System. This course is suited to aviation organisations utilising the ISO9001:2008 Standard. It covers the impact of management systems on aviation organisations and how a process approach provides a simple and user friendly structure.

ACT07 - Documenting an Aviation Management System
- Under Development

Integrated and well written policy and procedural documents allow an aviation organisation to ensure compliance and stipulate company requirement and industry best practice for all business activities. This training course outlines the key elements of an effective aviation management system and provides participants with practical tools to construct and manage these systems. This practical course provides methodologies for developing manuals including, policies, procedures and supporting documents.

ACT08 - Safety Management Systems

This training course covers the key elements of an effective Safety Management System (SMS) in an aviation environment. It provides participants with the practical tools to construct and manage an aviation SMS. The course covers the fundamentals of SMS policies and procedures, senior management commitment, effective reporting systems, safety promotion and the benefits of effective investigation, risk management and audit programs.

ACT09 - Risk Management

This training course covers the basic concept of risk, provides a framework for risk assessment, highlights typical situations in civil aviation and outlines decision making processes for managing risk. Participants are provided with the key elements of an effective Risk Management System, including tools to identify, analyse, evaluate and control all types of risk.

ACT10 - Introduction to Internal Safety Investigation

This training course is aimed at airline operators, charter operators and flying schools. It provides specific personnel in Flight Operations, Safety, Security and Quality Assurance, to apply the fundamental theory and techniques of event investigation, analysis and reporting within specific aviation environments.

ACT11 - Aviation Incident Investigation Management

This training course covers the methods and protocols used in the conduct of an incident investigation, including notification processes, collection of evidence and data, interview techniques, the application of human factors principles, analysis techniques, report writing and recommendations. A case study and several interactive exercises are used to apply the theory and techniques of this course. This course also provides a foundation for accident investigation and is internationally recognised as the base training for airline and safety bureau investigators.

ACT12 – Load Control/Weight and Balance

This training course provides Load Control/Aircraft Dispatch personnel in the performance of their aircraft related duties, including aircraft loading and weight balance. This course is customised to the operation of specific aircraft types.

ACT13 - Aviation Emergency Response Management

This training course provides participants with the skills required to effectively prepare, respond and recover in the event of a corporate or aviation emergency. This course provides information on the preparation of a comprehensive emergency response plan, including coordination of emergency services, response team training, evacuation drills and practical exercises.
